I have long been interested in Fantasy books and role-playing games (although I rarely actually play them). Of all the characters and beasts to be found in fictional worlds Dragons have to be, in my opinion, the most majestic. From the genetically engineered Dragons of Pern to the great five-headed Dragon Takhisis, Goddess of Evil on Krynn (before the Fifth Age) to the Dragons of Midkemia (former mounts of the ancient Valheru).
Dragons inspire fear and awe in all races. Only the Gods themselves know no fear of their flaming breath. These mighty creatures are part of many nations legends and have long featured in the literary works of Fantasy writers such as Melanie Rawn, Raymond E Feist, Tracy Hickman, Margaret Weis and J R R Tolkien himself.
